Home care that works
around you

There is no place like home. It’s where your routines are familiar, your belongings have their place, and your life is built around the things that matter to you. When you need a little extra support, home care can help you stay there while continuing to live as independently as possible.

At Caring With Dignity, we provide flexible, person-centred care for people who need support with everyday life, personal care, getting out and about, or simply having someone there. Our care is built around the individual, taking the time to understand what you want and how you want to live.

That might mean help getting ready in the morning, preparing a meal, doing some shopping, taking medication, attending an appointment, or getting out for a social activity. It might even mean getting the dog out, letting the cat out, or picking up a bottle of milk. Whatever support your loved one needs, we focus on helping them live the life they want in the place they call home.

The care you need, when you need it

Everyone’s circumstances are different, which is why we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether your loved one needs practical help around the home, companionship, specialist dementia support, or help getting back on their feet after hospital, we’ll build care around them.

Domiciliary care

Practical support with personal care, meals, medication, household tasks, and everyday life.

Friendly, consistent support to help clients stay connected, active, and involved in the things they enjoy.

Individualised support from trained care workers who understand the importance of consistency, familiarity, and reassurance.

Support following a hospital stay, helping clients work towards their goals and regain confidence, mobility, and independence.

Temporary help at home, whether a family carer needs a break, you’re recovering from illness, or you’re looking for overnight, weekend, holiday, or emergency support.

Working alongside trusted partners

Who can benefit from home care?

Home care can be suitable for people who need a helping hand with everyday activities, whether that support is needed for a short time or on an ongoing basis. Your loved one may benefit from home care if they:

  • Need help with personal care, washing, dressing, or getting ready for the day
  • Find everyday household tasks becoming more difficult
  • Need support preparing meals, shopping, or running errands
  • Need help managing or remembering your medication
  • Have reduced mobility or need support getting around safely
  • Are recovering after a stay in hospital
  • Live with dementia or another condition that means you need additional support
  • Feel lonely or would benefit from regular companionship
  • Need support attending appointments, social activities, or hobbies
  • Want to remain living at home rather than moving into a care home
  • Have family members who want to support you but cannot always be there

Your loved one’s care does not have to fit a standard package. We will take the time to understand what matters to them and build support around their individual needs, preferences, and routines.

The benefits of care at home

Choosing home care isn’t about giving up independence.
Done well, it can help your loved one hold onto it.

Stay where you feel at home

Your loved one can continue living in familiar surroundings, surrounded by their memories, belongings, and community.

Care should fit around your loved one’s life, not force their life to fit around a rigid schedule. If they prefer to wash at lunchtime instead of in the morning, that’s important to us.

We listen to what you and your loved one want rather than simply deciding what you should have. From personal care or cooking to shopping or walking the dog, support is built around the client.

Our role is to support our clients to do the things they can and want to do, while providing a helping hand with the things that have become more difficult.

Home care can include support to attend appointments, visit friends and family, go shopping, or continue enjoying hobbies, social groups, and activities.

When family members cannot always be there themselves, having a familiar care team providing regular support can offer reassurance that someone is there to check in and help.

What can our home care include?

Every care package is different because every person is different. Depending on your loved one’s needs and preferences, our care workers can support them with:

Personal care

Support with washing, bathing, dressing, grooming, and other aspects of their daily routine.

Meals and cooking

Preparing meals and drinks, helping with eating, and making sure they have the food they enjoy.

Medication support

Reminders and appropriate support with your medication as part of your care plan.

Household tasks

Help with cleaning, laundry, shopping, and other everyday jobs around the home.

Getting out and about

Support with appointments, shopping, social activities, hobbies, and trips into the community.

Companionship

Time spent talking, playing games, listening to music, or simply enjoying someone’s company.

We can also provide welfare pop-in calls, appointment buddying, and sitting services during the day or night. Our care visits are available from 7am to 9pm, with the frequency and length of visits tailored to each client’s requirements.

Why choose Caring With Dignity

Care built around you

We provide what your loved one would want, rather than simply deciding what we think they need.

Consistency matters

We aim to provide a consistent care team so clients can build familiarity, trust, and confidence with the people supporting them.

We listen and respond

Your loved one’s preferences, routines, and feedback matter. We take the time to hear what they have to say and respond to it.

Answering your home care questions

What is home care?

Home care is support provided in your own home to help you manage everyday life while maintaining as much independence as possible. Depending on your needs, this can include personal care, meals, medication support, household tasks, companionship, and help getting out and about.

Home care can benefit anyone who needs additional support to continue living safely and comfortably at home. This could be because of age, reduced mobility, illness, dementia, recovery after hospital, or simply because everyday tasks have become harder to manage independently.

We start by understanding your loved one, their needs, and the kind of support they want. From there, we can create a care package around their individual requirements, including the type, frequency, and timing of visits. We aim to provide care that fits into our clients’ existing life rather than asking them to change their routines around our care.

Depending on your loved one’s care plan, our care workers can help with personal care, meal preparation, medication support, household tasks, shopping, appointments, companionship, and getting out into the community. We can also provide welfare calls, appointment buddying, and sitting services during the day or night.

We provide care visits between 7am and 9pm. We’ll discuss your preferred times and requirements when arranging care so that support works as well as possible around you or your loved one’s routine.

Consistency is important to us. We aim to keep care teams as small and consistent as possible, helping you become familiar with the people who support you and giving families greater peace of mind.

Our care is priced according to the length of the visit:

  • 30-minute visit: £16
  • 45-minute visit: £18.50
  • 1-hour visit: £27

These prices apply across our care services. We’ll discuss your loved one’s requirements and the support they need before their care package begins.

For many people, receiving the right support at home can make it possible to continue living in familiar surroundings rather than moving into residential care. Whether home care is suitable for you or your loved one depends on your individual circumstances, needs, and home environment. We can talk through your situation and help you understand what support may be available.

Caring for you, where you
feel most at home

For us, home care is about more than completing a list of tasks. It’s about helping our clients feel safe, settled, and supported while continuing to live life on their own terms.

Whether you or a loved one needs a little help with everyday tasks or more regular support, we’ll take the time to understand what matters to you and create care around it.
